About the role#
The Maintenance Intern position is based in San Diego, California, for the summer of 2026. You will work directly with the facility leadership team at our manufacturing site to support the Delimex operation. This full-time, paid internship focuses on maintenance, reliability, and capital projects.
What you'll do#
- Complete a gap analysis of utility asset lists for steam, chillers, refrigeration gases, cooling towers, and compressed air.
- Troubleshoot equipment performance issues and complete scheduled work orders.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and corrective work orders on focus line equipment.
- Participate in developing and improving a documented 52-week maintenance plan within the SAP PM structure.
- Support the implementation of improvements using the Breakdown Management process to prevent equipment failures.
- Update key performance indicator files and use lean manufacturing tools to execute assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master’s degree program, specifically in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Coursework or experience in engineering, continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and business-related topics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Possession of an EU Working Permit.
